Prof. Dr. Ir. Eti Indarti, M.Sc

Prof. Eti completed her Master’s degree from the School of Biological Sciences at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2004, focusing on biochemical analysis studies. She earned her PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2017, specializing in Bioresources, Paper, and Coatings at the School of Industrial Technology. Since 2018, she has led the Food and Agricultural Products Analysis Laboratory in the Department of Agricultural Product Technology, Faculty of Agriculture. Under her leadership, the laboratory has secured a grant from Universitas Syiah Kuala to develop and prepare for laboratory accreditation. Prof. Eti lectures on topics such as Plantation Processing (Cacao, Sugar Cane, and Palm Oil), Unit Operations, Food Packaging, Food Analysis, and Industrial Project Planning. Her research interests include food and chocolate processing and developing biocomposites from agricultural and forestry wastes. She is particularly focused on utilizing oil palm industry waste to produce nanocellulose as a future material for various applications, including reinforcement in polymer matrices.
